Write the writing style for your bachelor thesis
What is now most important for writing? Krämer sums this up perfectly: “Bad writers write in such a way that the good-willed reader will understand you correctly can. Good writers write in such a way that even the malicious reader will understand you correctly got to"(2009: 99). What is meant here relates to the comprehensibility of the text, both in terms of the linguistic design and the clarity of the structure of the work. In addition, the logic of the argumentation plays an important role (see Winter 2005: 61 ff.). If you want to write your bachelor thesis and want to get a good grade for it, you should write it in an easy-to-understand way and at the appropriate scientific level.
The bottom line is that all of this should make a valuable contribution to research: So you should create something “of your own”, but still refer to the opinion of others and identify foreign ideas as such. Personal contribution to the bachelor thesis
Performing one's own work means above all to “quote recognized theories and opinions”, i.e. “to include the knowledge of other authors in one's own work, either as evidence or suitable for the context or even in contradiction” (Karmasin & Ribing 2014: 35). In concrete terms, this is an opinion formed on the basis of reading scientific articles and the findings of established scientists.
Precisely for this reason, it has little to do with one's own opinion: one's own performance consists only of bringing the statements and findings of others into a new context or of collecting data yourself. This, too, is based on the findings of the predecessor and “in your efforts something should come out that you did not know beforehand” (Krämer 2009: 14).
Doing this yourself is a must and you demonstrate that you are able to form a qualified opinion on the basis of reading scientific literature on a specific topic; a qualified opinion, which is also critical of the sources used and the results of your own data analysis. You have to take all of this into account when writing your bachelor thesis!
Personal performance vs. own opinion
The purpose of the bachelor thesis is to “work on a professionally relevant question independently and according to scientific criteria” (Samac, Prenner & Schwetz 2009: 17). What is meant by the term independence or what is actually required when people talk about their own performance? Even more important is: Does it have something to do with your own opinion or should it never be part of a scientific paper?
Opinions differ, especially when it comes to including one's own opinion, but first of all, one's own contribution must be clearly demarcated. Because this has absolutely nothing to do with your personal opinion. The personal contribution when writing a bachelor thesis is also the compilation of relevant arguments from various sources.

How do I argue scientifically and how do I include secondary sources?
- Before the writing process for the bachelor thesis or term paper can begin, good preparation is essential. This ranges from the search for a supervisor to the Literature research and, depending on the question, up to data collection.
